Description
Open Impeller System
Both open and closed impeller pump systems can be difficult to maintain, especially without the proper tools. When impeller components are damaged or difficult to remove, injury or further equipment damage can result. Our innovative KIRIS System (Key Impeller Removal and Installation System) facilitates safe, effective process and water pump repair. When you frequently work with impeller pumps, this kit combines the tools you need to keep your expensive, heavy-duty equipment performing as expected.
How It Works
Our wrenches are designed for engagement with both of your hands-free to apply torque to the system. This design distributes pressure evenly around the eye of the impeller. The balanced torque safely loosens even the most difficult to remove impellers. Using the wrong tools can lead to injury or damage to components. It can also cause the internal parts to become misaligned, causing even more damage to the pump system components.
Open Impeller Systems
These wrenches fit open impellers with an even or odd number of vanes. When repairing the components of this type of impeller, it’s easy to warp or bend the vanes. This can cause the pump to fail long before the expected lifespan or MTBR’S. Our systems prolong the life of your pump by evenly distributing applied force, keeping vanes in place and protected from damage.
This kit includes two wrenches, one to fit the 5-vaned open impeller and one to fit the 6-vane open impeller. It also includes a universal 3-piece input shaft socket that fits all standard ANSI pump sizes and keys. Simply match the shaft socket and key to the size of your pump.

Closed Impeller System
These wrenches are designed to fit closed impeller centrifugal pumps. This is one of the most common types of impeller systems, particular for jobs involving dangerous or volatile substances. Closed impellers have two metal plates that conceal the inner machinery, which makes it difficult to tell when components have been damaged by ongoing wear and tear.
With our closed impeller wrench system, you can easily disassemble the equipment for regular inspection and maintenance. This protects your investment and helps ensure operator safety to prevent workplace injury.
